Oh, hi there! Thanks for stopping by.
My name is Scout Dawson, and I am a 33 year old artist, writer, blogger and video content creator from the West Midlands in the United Kingdom.
I am an oil painter, a novelist, and soon to be a travel blogger and vlogger. I also create time lapse videos of my paintings for people to enjoy. Ever since I was a child, my heart has been set on entertaining in some way, shape or form; I’m never as personally, mentally or creatively stifled as I am when stuck in an office under the abhorrent buzz of fluorescent lighting.
For a long time, I also spoke of travel. Nomadic living is a lifestyle that has always appealed greatly to me, and earlier this year (2017) I made the decision to finally pull my finger out and take steps towards achieving my goal. It will take time, and it will be the most challenging and difficult thing I’ve ever had to do (the biggest challenge of course being ‘find a way to make a living when you don’t even have a house’). But I am determined and confident that with some hard work and perseverance, I can do it.
I have art, stories, vlogs, blogs and other content that I hope will help me in achieving that goal. This blog will basically cover that journey from now (26th April, 2017 for those curious) until I am finally out there, in Stavanger, dragging my friend Ida off to help me buy a van. I am extremely excited about taking you all on this journey with me!
If you came here from Google, check out my homepage! It contains links to all of my main projects including two YouTube channels (art videos and vlogging), my art store and my novel ‘Ain’t No Grave’ that you can currently read for free on Wattpad.
